"Boofers" here....or "Cat" ..or "Grama Cat"...just don't forget to call me for a bargain! I am a newly retired Psych RN of some 45yrs of service. Had to retire early due to spinal issues and chronic pain. I have been doing all sorts of Crafts my wholelife, friends call me "artsy", to which I add, "fartsy"....Scrap Booking is an ongoing thread in my life. Now that I have more time to play, I wanted to find a group of like minded folks. I am a group manager for a Seniors Friendship group on MSM. MSN has told us they are closing down all of their groups by 2/2009, so there is a small search party going about looking for a new home. This site was one of the suggestions, so my joining this group, which is an interest of mine, is also a 'test' to see how our group might fit in this format. Anyway, that's the why...the rest of the who is, I am currently living in Sterling VA, a 'Burb of Washington DC, where I worked for the last 25 yrs in a General Hospital's Psych Unit.I have 2 Daughters, 5 Grandchildres, 1 Great Granddaughter and a slew of Nephews and Nieces. Most of my family is back in Illinois where I grew up. I am a Divorcee, happily, and dance to my own drummer. I am owned by a small Chihuahua mix dog named "Tootsie", a rescue, and a 17# Main Coon cat named "Jorgi", also a rescue. They keep me well amused and fill my heart. I'm pretty easy going, not at all hard to please, and if you make me laugh,I'll be your friend for life !
